Find a full review of the website and monitoring products by For full details read our ConsumerDIrect reviews! offers users a 3-in-1 credit report with credit scores with enrollment to their credit monitoring service.

The ConsumerDirect Product Reviews: offers users a credit report and credit score from all three credit bureaus for FREE. Here is what it includes:

  • Online Access to 3 Credit Scores (they say 4, but it must be an average)
  • See Who's Been Checking Your Credit!
  • Action Monitoring
  • Delivered Instantly Online
  • Credit Report Locking has two products for memberships. The Basic Membership is $29.95 after the first 30 days. This includes 5 monthly actions to your credit report. Additional actions are billed to the member at a cost of $2.95 each. The Enhanced Membership is $39.95 per month after the first 30 day trial. Users are allowed unlimited credit report actions with this level. The costs could add up quite quick if you're not careful. They disclose in the terms that you will give your credit card information so they can do a $1 "authorization" to your card, but not actually be billed. This enables them to bill you if you choose not to cancel or forget to cancel the the trial membership. Review of Website:

The website is more geared toward getting the user to signup than to give information. Everything on the site says "FREE", but they don't tell you up front the costs of membership. They also don't have an easy way to contact them from the homepage - we had to look very hard at the terms to find the contact phone number for their customer service line. There are no FAQ or articles on the website, but this might be included in the member's area which we don't have access to.

The Recommendation:

This is for users who are deeply involved in their credit and need close monitoring of their credit report and history. The pricing is a bit high for monitoring, but it depends on the level of support and service you get. A good idea would be to signup for the trial and test out the support before deciding to keep the membership. Afterall...that's what trials are about - testing out the product and service. The credit report lock could be a good feature if you've had problems with people in the past checking your credit or identity theft or fraud.
